Also the connect and disconnect is possibly a windows chip/driver issue (long story) as I switched to Linux to avoid this (however I used windows to flash the machine) as didn't have the issue you are seeing but a general problem with windows reliably sending lengthy GCode sets as for some strange reason after about 30 min or so windows would disconnect. I would still try a different computer as that time doesn't seem right at all.
